ANDERSON Voters can get firsthand information about local candidates in the 2008 elections and even ask them questions directly using IndependentMail.com’s new Voter Guide.
By logging onto www.independentmail.com/elections and using the Voter Guide, anyone can find biographical information on candidates in primary races and general elections. The candidates will have the opportunity to publish information about themselves and where they stand on the issues regarding their specific election, said Nicholas Charalambous, Independent-Mail online director.
Starting today, voters can see photos of the candidates and use the background information provided to help make their decision at the polls.
The only candidates currently featured are for the city of Anderson’s upcoming municipal election. As other races get off the ground, however, the site will have information on candidates for races in the newspaper’s coverage area.
After making their choices, voters can print out a ballot and take it with them to the polls.
“Our news organization’s core mission is to give light so people will find their own way,” Mr. Charalambous said. “We think offering candidates an unfiltered way to reach voters with their message and giving voters a chance to contact candidates directly serves the candidates and the public well.
“We also think time-strapped voters will find it helpful to have one handy place to find past stories, do research on the candidates, and to print out a sample ballot to take to the polls,” he said.

"If Mr. Dunnaway has a local mailing residential address, then that probably meets the technical requirements for his candidacy. As we have written about his loft in the past, it is hard to make the case that he doesn't have one."
It is not whether he owns a loft or not that is relevant. "Primary/principal residence" has very specific legal meaning. Mr. Dunaway, being an attorney, knows full well what that means.
Does anyone know about Mr Waters life between the ages 18-28??? There seems to be a lapse of details????? He is so busy throwing stones maybe his glass house should watch out!!! Those details may break it!!!! Remember he threw the first stone............let the glass fall where it may!!!!! I loved atlanta too!!!! Before and after Jeffery
