Lawrence B. “Larry” Miller was presented with Tri-County Technical College’s Order of Merit on Nov. 5.
The Order of Merit is the highest award given by the college’s nine-member commission. It is an honorary society, which recognizes community and state leaders who have contributed to the development of Tri-County Technical College and the State Technical College System.
Miller represented Anderson County on the college’s governing board from 1987 to 2008 and served as secretary of the commission from 1999 to 2006. He was a former chair of the finance committee and former ex-officio member of the college’s foundation board. He served as the manager of the Robert Bosch Corporation’s Anderson plant from 1985 until his retirement in the early 1990s.
