The biggest reason for political inaction over the past few years comes from office holders who cling to the extremes of their political ideology. This creates such polarization that no one wants to compromise and nothing gets done.
Having had an opportunity to talk at length with both Jane Dyer and Marshall Meadors, I’ve been convinced that, even though they are Democrats, both are much closer to the political center and are much more pragmatic than their opponents. U.S. Rep. Gresham Barrett and state Sen. Kevin Bryant both have camped out on the extreme political right.
A vote for Mrs. Dyer for U.S. Congress and Dr. Meadors for S.C. Senate will be a big step forward in re-establishing a more functional government, where political differences can be discussed, compromises reached, and progress made at both the national and state levels.

If all the elected officials could possibly do what they promise.....We would have the healthiest, smartest, most comfortable, most peaceful nation on earth. It is not going to happen, especially with so much demand for government controlled socialism by the dems.
So, raising taxes, same sex marriages, and universal health care is closer to the middle?
For who? communists?
I can't believe the democrats are now saying they are "closer to the middle".
