AIM collecting bags for annual Trick-or-Treat so Others May Eat

STORY TOOLS

For the 10th straight year, groups of church and school youth are canvassing local neighborhoods, seeking donations to stock the shelves of the Fishes & Loaves Food Pantry at Anderson Interfaith Ministries (AIM). This annual campaign, called “Trick or Treat so Others May Eat,” is crucial to AIM, in that it allows them to serve the needs of the more than 650 families that seek assistance each month through their Hunger Ministries programs. It is through the generosity of a caring community that this assistance is made possible.

If an empty grocery bag was distributed to you at home, school or church, please consider joining the youth in their fight against hunger by filling it with non-perishable food items and leaving it out for pick-up by the group who delivered it. Most groups will be collecting filled bags on Sunday afternoon. If the collection date for your neighborhood has been changed, there should be a note on your bag to indicate this.

If you did not receive a bag, but still wish to help, simply collect and bring your food donation to AIM’s pantry, located at 1206 S. Murray Ave. or call (864) 965-9077 to discuss additional ways to help. To learn more about Anderson Interfaith Ministries and the programs through which they serve, visit www.aimcharity.org or call (864) 965-9074 to schedule an orientation and tour.
