Kari and Doyle Harper

ANDERSON - Kari and Doyle Harper are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. They met while attending Florida State. In the summer of 1958, they moved to Kari's homeland of Norway. They were married in Faaberg on October 25, 1958. In 1959, they moved back to the states where Doyle was an officer in the U.S. Army. In 1970, they moved to Anderson where they have raised their family. The couple have four children, Ellen Harper Dickson of Raleigh, N.C., Anne Harper Perry of Marietta, GA, Kristin Harper Mahato of Raleigh, N.C., and Eric Roy Harper of Pendleton, S.C. They also have 12 grandchildren. The extended family celebrated the anniversary this summer in Cancun, Mexico.
