IVA, SC - Mr. and Mrs. Donald E. Johnson celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on October 11, 2008 with family and friends. The couple were married on October 13, 1958 in Hartwell, Ga. when Donald was 18 and Linda was 15. Linda G. Stancil Johnson is the daughter of the late Walter and Louise Stancil. Donald is the son of the late William T. Johnson and the late Ruth Johnson Browning. The couple have four children, Kathy Evans, David E. Johnson and wife, Beverly, Sharon Carlton, Brooke Richardson and husband, Michael. They also eight grandchildren, Amy and Don Evans, Savannah and Katie Johnson, Tony, Serena and Arnez Richardson and Kurtis Carlton. Great-grandchildren are Tyler and Christine Bridges and Brittany and Christian Evans. The couple attribute their long lasting marriage to God's love and blessings on them and their love for each other and for God.
